Specification of Decision Diagram Operations
نویسندگان
چکیده
Decision Diagrams (DDs) are a well populated family of data structures, used for efficient representation and manipulation of huge data sets. Typically a given application requires choosing one particular category of DDs, like Binary Decision Diagrams (BDDs) or Data Decision Diagrams (DDDs), and sticking with it. Each category provides a language to specify its operations. For instance, the operation language of BDDs provides if-then-else, apply, etc. We focus on two main kinds of operation languages: BDD-like and DDDlike. They overlap: some operations can be expressed in both kinds of languages, while others are only available in one kind. We propose in this article a critical comparison of BDD-like and DDDlike languages. From the identified problems, we also propose a unified language for DD operations. It covers both BDD-like and DDD-like languages, and even some operations that cannot be expressed in either.

Object Oriented Concepts Identification from Formal B Specifications
This paper addresses the graphical representation of static aspects of B specifications, using UML class diagrams. These diagrams can help understand the specification for stakeholders who are not familiar with the B method, such as customers or certification authorities. The paper first discusses some rules for a preliminary derivation of a class diagram. It then studies the consistency of the...
متن کاملSymbolic Model Checking for Channel-based Component Connectors
The paper reports on the foundations and experimental results with a model checker for component connectors modelled by networks of channels in the calculus Reo. The specification formalisms is a branching time logic that allows to reason about the coordination principles of and the data flow in the network. The underlying model checking algorithm relies on variants of standard automata-based a...
متن کاملStrengthening the Semantics of UML Collaboration Diagrams
A serious weakness of the UML is the lack of appropriate means for specifying the semantics of operations in a class diagram and the interpretation of actions on a statechart diagram. As required in the corresponding request for proposals [11], such specification should describe the preand postconditions of operations and actions, their effect on the current state, as well as the calls or signa...
متن کاملIntroduce Composite State - Operation Recorder Start revision Initial Differences Revised Start configuration
Predefined composite operations are handy for efficient software modeling, e.g., for the automatic execution of refactorings, and for the introduction of patterns in existing models. Some modeling environments provide an initial set of basic refactoring operations, but hardly offer any extension points for the user. Even if extension points exist, the introduction of new composite operations re...
متن کاملAn Improved Algorithm for Network Reliability Evaluation
Binary Decision Diagram (BDD) is a data structure proved to be compact in representation and efficient in manipulation of Boolean formulas. Using Binary decision diagram in network reliability analysis has already been investigated by some researchers. In this paper we show how an exact algorithm for network reliability can be improved and implemented efficiently by using CUDD - Colorado Univer...
